We are delighted to inform you that the final Ofsted inspection report from our two-day section 8 inspection on 24th to 25th May 2023 accompanies this covering letter. The report will be accessible via the school website today and published on the official Ofsted report website within eight working days.
The purpose of a section 8 inspection is to gauge whether a school continues to be ‘good’ as indicated in our previous report in January 2018, or to ascertain whether there is enough evidence to suggest a school is above or below its original grading.
It gives me great pleasure to share that Her Majesty’s Inspector believed that there is enough evidence of improved performance to suggest that the school could be judged ‘outstanding’ if a section 5 inspection were to be conducted. Therefore, Keelby Primary Academy will receive a section 5 inspection; usually this is within one to two years of the date of the section 8 inspection.
I am delighted that the improvements made through the dedication of our leadership team, the expertise of our teachers and support staff, the hard work and attitude of our children together with the support of the Academy Trust and the backing of our parents has been recognised. I wanted to draw your attention to the following feedback we received:

“Parents are overwhelmingly supportive of the school.”
“Pupils with SEND are exceptionally well supported to access the high-quality curriculum.”
“Reading is a priority at this school, pupils of all ages speak enthusiastically about reading.”
“Leaders have the support of staff and parents in their drive to make the school the best it can be.”
I am incredibly proud of this report and the recognition of our high expectations being met. Moving forwards, we will continue to work hard to ensure all our children receive an ‘outstanding’ education and experience during their time here.
