All school policies are currently under review following our move to Academy status, as part of the Enquire Learning Trust. Once reviewed they will then be subject to annual reviews.
We also have a 'Policy' file in our main entrance and you can request paper copies of any documents on the website, from the school office.
The vast majority of children in the school are from Keelby but we are happy to welcome children from surrounding areas into all year groups.
Like most Lincolnshire Primary Schools, we follow the County’s Admission Policy. (Details of the County's policies on admissions in general are available on the County Council’s website www.lincolnshire.gov.uk). The Governors will follow these guidelines should the number of requests exceed the number of places available. Our PAN (Pupil Admission Number) is 30.
This means that children may be admitted in the September following their 4th birthday if parents so wish and if a place is available, i.e. children who are 4 yrs old before 1st September. By law, children must be admitted to a school at the beginning of the term following their 5th birthday.
If you are thinking of sending your child to this school, you are welcome to visit. Please contact the School Administrator.
Free transport may be available for you if Keelby is your nearest Lincolnshire school and you live two or more miles from the school (e.g. Riby).
Children from Keelby School normally transfer to Healing School or to one of the two Caistor secondary schools - Caistor Grammar School and Caistor Yarborough Academy. The secondary transfer process starts in Y5 when parents and pupils are invited to look around the local schools. In September/October, when children are in Y6, you will be asked to formally request a place at your child’s chosen school. Places are normally made available at Healing and Caistor if your child resides in Keelby/Riby. If you live in another county you will be given your nearest secondary school as first choice; please contact us nearer the time if you need further advice on this.
